Changing the Conversation About California Agriculture
The Almond Board of California (ABC) encourages industry members to consider becoming engaged in a voluntary effort that is dedicated to changing the conversation about California agriculture. Known formally as the California Agricultural Communications Coalition (CACC), this communications effort is focused on having California farmers tell their stories in their own words to better connect consumers with California agriculture.
The CACC launched the website, Know a California Farmer, today, Sept. 1, and is seeking original content such as blogs, video and photos from California’s farmers. Farmers can register for an account, and gain access to the members-only Communications Toolbox where there are instructions on how to post content to the website and the coalition’s core messages There will also be tools and resources to enhance public outreach efforts, including “how-to” documents and regular webinars on social media, public relations in a digital world, issues and crisis management, and traditional media outreach.
For additional support in developing content, please e-mail Jenny Konschak at the ABC.
