ABC Reaches Influencers at "Olympics" of Nutrition

ICN BoothThe Almond Board of California recently participated in the 19th International Congress of Nutrition (ICN), the world’s premier scientific meeting for nutritionists, hosted in Bangkok, Thailand. The ICN 2009 attracted more than 4,500 attendees from 117 countries. This global conference is held only every four years, making it the "Olympics" of nutrition and a crossroad of food industry, nutrition and policy. The Almond Board took this timely opportunity and global platform to convey key almond messages to influencers and health professionals from around the world. New almond nutrition research findings from two researchers were also presented through poster sessions.

Now that harvest is winding down, it's the perfect time to update your records. Create or update a detailed diagram of adjacent land use, operations and influences, so that you are able to identify potential sources of contamination due to runoff and drift. Create, implement and document procedures to reduce the likelihood of contamination to your almonds throughout the year.
