ALMOND BOARD CEO PROMOTES
ALMONDS IN POLAND

ON APRIL 24, U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, and the Agricultural Counselor, Eric Wenberg, spent the morning with Richard Waycott, President and CEO of the Almond Board of California (ABC). Ambassador Ashe spoke to a group gathered at the Sobanski Palace business center in Warsaw to help the Board officially kick off promotional activities in Poland to educate consumers about almonds, and to begin work with importers, processors, and retailers on the business benefits of using more almonds.

The Polish economy is growing despite the global downturn, and Polish consumers are demanding more variety in their food products. These facts make this the perfect time to reinforce almonds' importance to confectioners, chocolatiers, snack processors, hotels and restaurants in this growing market.
