Chocolate Almond Honeys created by: Almond Board of California

servings 24
ingredients 1 3/4 cups finely crushed graham cracker crumbs (about 1/4 lb.)
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbs. honey
2 Tbs. orange or apple juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1 package (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped blanched almonds
preparation
Combine graham cracker crumbs with sweetened condensed milk, honey, orange juice and rind; mix thoroughly. Stir in chocolate and almonds. Spread in a well-oiled, 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees, 30 minutes; remove from oven and let cool a few minutes. While still warm, cut into 16 squares or bars; remove from pan with a spatula. Cool thoroughly on rack, then cut into smaller pieces, if you wish. Makes 16 to 32 cookies.
