Party time and the cooking is easy. A big fresh fruit salad appeals to all if you keep it simple.
2 or 3 Bananas
Lime or lemon juice
2 cups halved, seeded Emperor grapes
Sliced natural almonds, roasted
Lime-Almond Dressing : 1/4 cup almond paste
2 tablespoons lime juice
3/4 cup plain yogurt or dairy sour cream
2 teaspoons sugar
2 or 3 drops green food color
Pare and seed oranges: cut into quarters lengthwise. Peel and slice bananas: dip into limejuice at once to prevent browning. Pile bananas into center of platter lined with lettuce. Lean oranges against bananas and ring with grapes. Sprinkle with almonds and serve with Lime-Almond Dressing.
Dressing: Crumble almond paste into bowl: beat with limejuice to remove lumps, then beat in yogurt, sugar and food color.
