Food professionals flock to the Almond Board booth to
learn more about California Almonds as an ingredient. The
media was especially interested in learning about
consumer demand and ABC’s consumer campaigns.
The 15th edition of SIAL China, which took place in Shanghai in May, continues to be the premier trade show serving the Chinese market. A record was set this year, with over 45,000 food professional visitors and 2,400 exhibitors.
ABC exhibited in the U.S. pavilion, visiting with attendees and sharing information on global trends, market research and technical information about almonds, as well as the latest new product introduction and nutrition research.
SIAL China is a food and beverage trade show targeting buyers, traders, retailers and product developers. The event is an opportunity to learn about important trends in the food and beverage industry, network with colleagues and identify potential suppliers. There is also wide attendance by the food industry from the rest of Asia, which is why it is such an important event on the food professional calendar.
SIAL is the best platform to present the versatility of almonds as an ingredient, beyond snacking, especially with the trade media. ABC staff conducted several onsite interviews and there was great interest by the media to learn more about our consumer campaigns and consumer demand.
