The goal of the Integrated Crop Pollination project is to
ensure the long-term sustainability of specialty crop
Participating in an online survey on pollination management will not only help improve outreach, Extension and research on pollination management for California Almonds, it will also give you a chance to win an iPad.
The survey is being conducted by the Integrated Crop Pollination project. The Almond Board of California (ABC) is a partner in this project, which is funded both by the USDA Specialty Crop Research Initiative and ABC. Several crops are involved in this nationwide effort. The goal is to ensure the long-term sustainability of specialty crop pollination in high-value crops, such as California Almonds.
Specific objectives for almonds are evaluating integrated pollination, which incorporates honey bees supplemented with blue orchard bees, with forage plantings adjacent to orchards that provide pollen and nutrition for the bees before and after almond bloom.
Responding to the survey takes about 25 minutes, and in appreciation for your time, you can enter a raffle drawing for an iPad.
