Each year, the Almond Conference planning team raises the bar to ensure that The Almond Conference
is better than ever. With an expected 2,500 attendees and greater representation
from all growing regions, research updates and time to interact with industry experts are at the top of the list of improvements.
Here’s a quick glimpse at some of the new and improved features of The 2013 Almond Conference, scheduled for Dec. 3–5 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
Revised Agenda Format
With a newly revised agenda format, there’s more time for you to get the need-to-know and want-to-know almond info. Three symposium tracks are targeted to specific audiences of attendees; for example, growers, handlers and marketers.
Enlarged Poster Pavilion
With room for more than 220 exhibitors, the trade show floor
is sure to be the highlight of the conference for California
Almond growers and handlers looking for the latest in
production and processing solutions.
As the Almond Board’s investment in research continues to grow, so does the size of the poster pavilion. The poster area will include updates on production research, environmental research, food quality and safety research, and special projects from the 2013 California Almond Leadership Program. Specific times will be promoted prior to the event, outlining when the researchers
will be available for one-on-one questions and answers.
Expanded Attendee Lounge and Almond Board Booth
The Attendee Lounge, surrounding the Almond Board of California’s booth, will continue as a place to relax and visit while perusing the trade show floor. And with interactive displays and special guests, this year’s lounge will be more popular than ever.
As a special treat for all, be sure to attend the Almonds and Ale pairing on Wednesday afternoon.
