Whether they’ve been navigating holiday party fare or making New Year’s resolutions, the Almond Board of California’s target women consumers in North America have been thinking a lot these days about their weight. Enter the “Skinnygirl” herself, entrepreneur and reality television star Bethenny Frankel, who has teamed up with California Almonds to encourage and inspire women to snack smart during the holidays and well into the New Year.
With her background as a natural foods chef, a straight-talking style and more than a million Twitter followers, Frankel juggles her Skinnygirl business and motherhood while preparing to launch a national network television talk show in 2013.
Frankel first shared her almond-related snack secrets at a media event in Los Angeles in November, in which she appeared on “Good Day LA” to prepare her signature almond granola while delivering key almond messages. She then made a consumer appearance and was interviewed by “Extra,” Parade.com, The Huffington Post, Us Weekly, In Touch, Life & Style and the Canadian magazine glow. People.com, Glamour.com, MSN.com and several other media outlets have covered her almond messaging as well.
In February, Frankel will appear in New York for a day with the Almond Board, conducting media interviews and again making a newsworthy consumer appearance. The ABC-developed “Snack Talkin’ with Bethenny Frankel” guide is a centerpiece of the PR campaign and is available for free download.
