The Almond Board of California’s health professional marketing team is preparing for ABC's spring and early-summer outreach to thousands of Canadian dietitians. ABC has a long-standing relationship with Dietitians of Canada, and we will again be present at their annual meeting in Toronto, June 14-16.
At our exhibit booth, attendees will receive ABC’s updated health professional educational tool kit and perfect-portion tin, and will have the opportunity to sign up for our newly redesigned newsletter. ABC will also be sponsoring an almond-inspired snack break between sessions on the first day. This break has been extremely popular in the past, and is another way to keep almonds top-of-mind for Canadian dietitians. With a membership of over 6,000, Dietitians of Canada is one of the largest organizations of dietetic professionals worldwide.
To complete our health professional outreach in Canada, ABC will again engage the professional organization for dietitians in Quebec, Professionnel des Diététistes du Québec, which is largely independent from Dietitians of Canada. These dietitians are extremely receptive to our nutrition messages. In fact, last year, the organization awarded their prestigious Golden Apple Award to ABC for excellence in print advertising, giving top honors to our "Jet Fuel" consumer ad. This year, we are translating our Perfect Portion piece into French, which will be sent to every dietitian in the organization, accompanied by a filled perfect-portion almond tin.
