On March 1, the Almond Board of California launched a Facebook page targeting North American consumers. The objective is to help build ABC’s presence in social media in order to establish the foundation for a long-term global program — starting with its largest target audience and the largest social media platform, Facebook.
ABC plans to use the new page to broadcast its own news, curate others’ relevant almond content and engage consumers. The marketing team will post almond updates, great news articles about almonds, tips and recipes about three to four times a week, and welcome comments and wall posts from almond growers and handlers as well as general consumers.
