Leadership Program Going Strong for 2012

Members of the Almond Leadership Program class of 2011
received their completion certificates at the Almond
Conference in December, where they are pictured along with
industry and Almond Board mentors.
The Almond Leadership Program is off to a great start in 2012. According to the number of applications submitted online and at The Almond Conference, it appears that the 2012 class will be one of the largest groups to participate in the program. Applicant interviews were conducted in late December, and acceptance letters were to be mailed in early January.

The Almond Leadership Program is an opportunity for young individuals with diverse interests and backgrounds in the almond industry to learn leadership skills relevant to the future of the industry. Participants are provided informational seminars about all aspects of the California Almond industry, and they have an opportunity to network with almond insiders and stakeholders. The Almond Board of California is pleased to offer this program to individuals planning to become involved in the industry. Participants from previous years now serve on ABC committees and have volunteered to mentor new participants.
