Frequently Asked Questions Answered by ABC Experts

The Almond Board of California (ABC) continues to make food quality and safety an issue of utmost importance. With food safety concerns in mind, and with the advent of “special measures” in the European Union, came the creation of the Voluntary Aflatoxin Sampling Plan (VASP). VASP is designed to encourage continuity in the industry, shipment certification and fewer rejected loads in the export market. Click here to view some of the most commonly asked questions that have been posed to ABC in regard to the VASP program, and a compilation of answers to those questions. The questions and answers deal with sampling, analysis and certification. The ABC remains committed to providing its handlers with access to helpful and up-to-date information.
