Tools and Techniques for Weed Management

Effective weed management in California Almonds requires an understanding of the basics combined with awareness of new developments, such as new herbicide registrations, improved application techniques and weed resistance. These subjects were covered in a presentation at The Almond Conference in 2011 by UC Extension weed specialist Brad Hanson. His presentation is summarized in the April 23, 2012 on line edition of Western Farm Press “Almond industry sets crosshairs on weed resistance” (Click here).  Below are links to Hanson’s presentation, along with online resources for developing an effective weed management program in almonds.
