President Signs Waterways Infrastructure Bill
President Obama signed the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) into law on June 10.   The Act authorizes repairs and modernization of the locks and dams on the Mississippi River and ports around the country.  Specifically, the Act approves 34 major water projects ranging from dredging and flood control to hurricane recovery and environmental restoration.

California projects include the Orestimba Creek Flood Risk Management Project in West Sacramento, the American River Watershed in the Natomas Basin, the Sutter Basin Project, and the San Clemente Shoreline Project in Orange County.
